Mahmoud Refat

Refat is a sound artist, musician, producer whose work has been released on CD, performed live and installed in spaces.

Refat is the founder of 100COPIES MUCIS / Cairo  record company & 100LIVE ELECTRONIC MUSIC FESTIVAL that is based and located in Cairo/Egypt.

Refat began in the early nineties playing durms in local bands at different venues in Cairo. In 2000 he began composing soundtracks for dance theate. Refat also worked on music for Cinema and video production for the past 10 years. Refat has been successfully and actively collaborating with various artists and musicians among the years in various forms of art "music/video/theater/film/dance theater/graphics/installations", locally and internationally.

 refat has been touring with his music work in europe,north africa, the arab world and south america.
